The Huawei P10 has only been available since February 201, but has made real waves since then. Chinese telecommunications manufacturer Huawei aren’t yet a household name but their smartphone range is of the highest quality and with lots of features yet to be matched by other, more common, phone producers.
There’s lots of features you may not have spotted on your Huawei P10 mobile phone yet, so keep reading to uncover some smartphone secrets…
You can view the exact battery percentage
The Huawei P10 has an adequate battery life, but the nature of the features on the phone means that constant usage can drain it pretty quickly.
The percentage of battery available isn’t on show all the time like some other models, but you can look up how much is left by selecting Settings and then Battery. Scroll right the bottom and from here, you can turn on Remaining Battery Percentage.

You can scan up to five finger-prints to unlock the phone
As with most smartphones, the P10 can be unlocked by scanning a finger-print. It’s easy to just end up scanning the same one over and over, but there’s no need to. You can scan up to five digits to unlock your phone so it’s worth doing at least four… try both thumbs, the first two fingers on you more dominant hand.

You can turn on an eye comfort mood
The blue light given off by screens is harmful to your eyes and when viewed in bed, can affect your sleeping patterns negatively.
The P10 has an Eye Comfort Mood to ease the strain on your peepers in light and dark. To enable it, select Setting > Display > Eye Comfort. The screen glare takes on a slightly yellow hue and the mode can be scheduled to only come on at certain times of the day or night.

You can use the phone as a pedometer
There’s no need to download a fitness tracker or activity app on your Huawei P10 unless you need something sport-specific. The smartphone tracks your step movement without any intervention required from you. To access the pedometer, go to Settings > Screen Lock & Passwords > Show Step Count on Lock Screen. What that does is pretty self-explanatory!

You can keep the design sleek by removing the screen protector
The screen protector that comes with the phone no doubt compromises the clean-cut design lines of the handset. Some people are against ever removing protectors of this type, and there’s debate on the P10’s susceptibility to smears and marks. However, once you’ve removed the protective film, you’ll find the phone is aesthetically more pleasing and feels better to hold.
