Samsung haven’t been able to keep a tight lid on their latest model of handset like they have its predecessors, leaked images of the new handset supposedly called the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini have been floating around the internet, amidst speculations of what features and specs this latest smartphone will hold. Apparently from what we hear an official announcement is expected to happen very soon.
Rumours are suggesting that the new handset is set to have a 4.3-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels, supposedly powered by Samsung’s Exynos 5210 chipset featuring a dual-core 1.6GHz processor and 1GB of RAM; though some rumours say that the phone will come in to different option availabilities such as a 3G version that will come with 1GB of RAM and 4G LTE version of the handset will come with 2GB of RAM. So we are told it’s to carry an 8MP rear camera with dual-video recording capabilities, and at least an 8GB of internal storage which is expandable via a microSD card slot and powered by a 2,100 mAh battery. Judging by the leaked photos that have been floating around its set to look the Galaxy S4 Mini is running on the same Android 4.2.2 version and TouchWiz 5.0 UI as the larger Galaxy S4 model. It also suggests the Galaxy S4 Mini will be sporting the eye-tracking feature that may include Smart Stay, Smart Rotation Smart Scroll and Smart Pause but which of these features it will likely to hold is not for sure and we may even see the Air gesture and Air View tools too.
Apart from these speculations of what features might be on-board this latest model from Samsung, it appears to have a similar shape, style and design to the Galaxy S4 but on a much smaller scale.
